Skip Hire FAQs
Which areas do you cover for skip hire?
We provide skip hire across North Somerset, East Somerset and Wiltshire, including towns such as Weston‑super‑Mare, Nailsea, Bath, Radstock, Westbury, Frome and Trowbridge. If you are just outside these areas, contact our team and we will confirm whether we can deliver to your postcode.
What skip sizes are available?
We offer a full range of skips from 3 yard mini skips through to 40 yard roll‑on roll‑off containers. Our size guide below shows the approximate dimensions and how many bin bags each skip can hold so you can choose the most cost‑effective option for your project.
How long can I keep a skip?
Standard skip hire is typically for up to 7–14 days, but we can often extend this if you need the skip for longer. Let us know your preferred delivery and collection dates when booking and we will confirm what is possible for your location.
Do I need a permit to place a skip on the road?
If your skip needs to be placed on a public road or highway, a skip permit from the local council is usually required. In many cases we can arrange this permit on your behalf for an additional fee, or we can advise you on how to apply if you prefer to handle it yourself.
What can I put in a skip?
Skips are suitable for most general household, garden and construction waste including soil, rubble, wood, metal and plastics. Hazardous items such as asbestos, tyres, gas bottles, paints, solvents and electrical appliances require special handling and must not be placed in standard skips. Please speak to us if you are unsure about any items.
How quickly can you deliver a skip?
Delivery is often available within a few working days, and in some areas we can offer next‑day service depending on availability. The earlier you book, the easier it is for us to secure your preferred date and time slot.
