Pennys Group Assist with Exeter’s Nightingale Hospital During COVID 19 Pandemic

Over a warm bank holiday in May 2019, Pennys Group set about an internal strip out of the former Homebase building which is now home to the hospital. Our team then also ensured that the site was cleared fully with waste safely disposed of via our Waste Management Plant.

Pennys Group are proud to have been involved in the construction of the Nightingale Hospital in Exeter which has been built to assist with the COVID 19 Pandemic.

The 116 bed Hospital was built to provide care for patients suffering from symptoms of coronavirus. As well as treating the sickest patients, Nightingale Exeter could also be used for patients with less severe problems associated with COVID-19 and for those recovering after a period in hospital. It provided extra capacity so that the existing five hospitals in the region could continue to operate other essential clinical services.
